Maximum Load

Maximum Load

The load is the electrical power consumed at a given moment in time. Load can refer to a consumer, an appliance, a group of consumers or appliances or a network. Load is the power consumed by the network including (+) the transmission losses but excluding (-) the consumption for pumped storage. The here given load values represent the maximum (simulatneous) load of the whole UCTE grid.

Concerning the calculation method, each country provides hourly load values, based on an average of the 10, 15 or 60 minutes load values preceding the hour. UCTE uses CET (Central European Time) for collecting this data. The maximum (simultaneous) load is calculated on the basis of these provided values
